Daya Cipta was founded in 2021 by a small group of AI practitioners and educators who had one recurring observation: people who wanted to learn to build with AI were either overwhelmed by poorly structured content, or put off by courses that overstated how quickly results would come.
The name reflects what we set out to build — daya meaning capacity or ability, cipta meaning to create or craft. Our aim has always been to help learners develop a genuine, durable capacity to create with AI tools, rather than a surface familiarity that fades without use.
We started with a single eight-week course. By early 2023, we had added two further courses, a community space, and a mentor programme that now supports learners from across Malaysia. Our students range from working professionals exploring a career shift to university graduates who want to deepen practical skills.

Our mission is to make AI development education honest, structured, and genuinely accessible — not just technically, but in terms of the pace and support that real learners need.

How we maintain course quality
Each course is reviewed before every cohort. We update content when the field moves, and we listen to learner feedback to sharpen what isn't working.

Qualified instructors only
All instructors at Daya Cipta are active practitioners with at least five years of applied experience. They don't teach from theory alone — they work in the field.
Data privacy and protection
Learner data is stored securely, used only to support enrolment and learning, and never shared for third-party marketing. We follow Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010.

Course fees, scope, and expectations are clearly stated before enrolment. There are no hidden requirements or unexpected costs once you sign up.
Accessible learning design
Course materials are written with clarity and reviewed for readability. Recorded sessions include summaries, and community spaces are moderated for a respectful tone.

At Daya Cipta, we think of learning to build with AI as a craft — something that takes time, practice, and the right kind of feedback to develop properly. That perspective shapes every decision we make about how courses are structured, how much support is available, and how we talk about what you'll come away with.
Our courses cover the full range from foundational Python and machine learning concepts through to deploying complete AI applications — and they're sequenced so each one builds meaningfully on the last. We don't assume learners arrive with a uniform background, so course descriptions are direct about who each course suits and what it asks of you.
Mentor access is central to the way we teach. Every cohort includes live sessions, code reviews, and a community space where instructors are genuinely present. We think the period after a difficult concept is introduced — when questions form and confusion can set in — is exactly when support matters most.
Based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Daya Cipta serves learners across Malaysia and neighbouring countries. Our office is open to current learners by appointment.
